Cyberpunk 2077: Best Starting Attributes & Perks

0

As a role-playing game with a surprising amount of depth and build diversity, Cyberpunk 2077 features countless options to flesh out characters. There are five key attributes to invest points into, along with 12 essential skills that feature a branching perk tree within each. Players can opt for a stealthy samurai, a gun-toting outlaw, or fast-working hacker, or the usual tank-like class armed with an assault rifle and a lot of health points.

But with so many options available to players, how do you choose the best starting attributes and perks in Cyberpunk 2077? It’s no easy task, and though players can respec their perks, skills, and attributes later in the game (with enough eddies in the bank), the wrong choices can lead to a weak or underwhelming build. This guide aims to help players off to a strong start!

Best Starting Attributes

Cyberpunk 2077 Attributes Screen

There are five main attributes: Body, Reflexes, Technical Ability, Intelligence, and Cool. Depending on the player’s choice in build, dumping points into, say, Body and Reflexes will create a tank or damage dealer. Conversely, putting points into Intelligence and Cool will craft a stealth build with quick hacking capabilities. Each attribute is unique.

Investing points into Body and Reflexes makes the most sense if the player intends to focus on firearms. That said, players can’t go wrong when choosing which attributes to dump points into if playing on a lower difficulty, like normal. It’s always possible to respec, too.

For new players, however, it is recommended to choose Body to increase health and stamina, along with regen capabilities, and Technical Ability to use the various hacking abilities Cyberpunk 2077 is primarily known for.
