Cyberpunk 2077 is full of activities for players to do. Whether you’re completing the best side quests or you’re hunting down missable items, you have a lot that you can be doing during the game that will keep you busy for some time.
One aspect of the game that can keep you busy is the crafting mechanic. This will allow you to craft better weapons, Iconic Weapons, and upgrade weapons you are already using to create the best weapon you can have. Here is a guide to help you get started crafting.
How To Craft
In order to craft items, you will first want to make it to your main menu. This is where you can access your inventory, map, etc. From here, you will see the “Crafting” option on the left-hand side of the menu. It will be the first option you can select.
Upon selecting this option, you will find that you can now see what weapons you are able to craft. You are able to scroll around and look at the different items that are available to you. Below the item, you will find the items that are needed to craft the item. If you want to craft something, you will need the specs for it (the crafting blueprint) and the components (the materials required). Once you have that, you’ll be able to make the item. Then, all you need to do is hit the craft button. You can find components at the Junk Vendors around Night City.
Upgrading Gear
While in the crafting menu, you will see the option to select upgrade. This is where you can upgrade your existing items to make them better. Once you select the item you want, you will see the required items beside the list of items to upgrade. Right next to this, you will be able to compare the current version of that item with the upgraded version of the same item. This will allow you to decide whether you want to upgrade or not. Once you’re finished, you can just hit upgrade.
Finding Crafting Specs
In order to craft and upgrade items, you will need their specs. Specs can be obtained from certain missions as well as from side quests. You are also able to find these specs from random kills in certain areas of the game. Finally, you can also purchase specs from different vendors around Night City. As long as you do side quests, loot everything, and monitor vendors, you will be able to find all the specs you need to craft and upgrade items.
