To make the claim that Judy Alvarez is a fan favorite would be the understatement of the century. Of the many available romance options in Cyberpunk 2077—Panam, Judy, River, and Kerry—Judy garnered so much attention that, when it came to cosplaying Cyberpunk 2077, most chose her to portray. In the game itself, countless players soon discovered that Judy would only romance a feminine V, and as such, many restarted their game altogether to roll a new character.
But it’s not enough for players to roll a feminine V and go with the flow. To successfully romance Judy in Cyberpunk 2077, the right choices and actions must align to win over her heart and walk away with the girl! This guide will help players successfully romance Judy Alvarez without running into trouble along the way.

Who is Judy Alvarez?
As mentioned, Judy Alvarez is only romantically interested in feminine-presenting V with a feminine voice. She doesn’t swing for the other team in Cyberpunk 2077, so male players need to move along or download a mod for that lovey-dovey feeling.
As part of the Moxes Gang, Judy quickly rose to pseudo-fame as the city’s leading Braindance expert, and players will meet her due to those skills relatively early in the main story of Cyberpunk 2077. Upon first greeting, it’s easy to see why so many players fall head over heels; though, to romance Judy, it’ll take some work.
After the first meetup, Judy will occasionally text or call, specifically regarding tracking down Evelyn Parker. This quest, Automatic Love, is a primary quest in the game and moves the story along. It’s also the first time players will genuinely work with Judy for an extended period, opening the door to romance. Upon finishing Automatic Love, a second quest triggers, The Space In Between, which then leads into Disasterpiece, Double Life, Both Sides Now, and Pyramid Song. The key to winning her heart during these quests is to work with her as much as possible. Players want to ensure Judy feels like a contributing part of the team and avoid upsetting her.
Eventually, a more personal line of quests will unlock. These include the aforementioned Both Sides Now and conclude with Pyramid Song.
How To Romance Judy
To successfully romance Judy Alvarez in Cyberpunk 2077, players must complete her main missions, unlock her side jobs, and select the right dialogue choices when prompted. Of the four main romanceable options in the game, Judy is actually one of the easier choices to win over.
Both Sides, Now
- To unlock Both Sides, Now, players will need to complete the main story mission, Double Life, then wait 24 in-game hours for Judy to call.
- When speaking with Judy, select any dialogue, as this quest has zero consequences or critical choices. The goal is to be friendly and pleasant to Judy throughout.
Ex-Factor
- To unlock Ex-Factor, players need to complete Both Sides, Now, then wait 12 in-game hours for Judy to text, followed by an additional six in-game hours for a phone call.
- When talking to Judy over the phone, agree to help. By refusing, players will lock themselves out of every side quest involving Judy in the future.
- Furthermore, select any additional dialogue desired, as there are no further consequences or choices during the quest.
Talking Bout A Revolution
- To unlock Talking Bout A Revolution, players must finish Ex-Factor, wait six in-game hours for a text, then another six in-game hours for a phone call.
- When talking to Judy, do not let them down. In doing so, players will again have a chance to lock all future side gigs with Judy.
- At the end of the mission, Judy offers to pay the player’s fee for helping her. Decline this option.
- Lastly, players can stay the night at Judy’s apartment while recovering. By agreeing to this option, players will earn breakfast and some favor.
Pisces
- To unlock Pisces, players must complete Talking Bout A Revolution, then wait six in-game hours for a text and another six in-game hours for a phone call. (There’s a pattern with Judy here.)
- Upon arriving at Hiromi’s office, the player’s choice proves crucial when unlocking Judy’s final side job and romance option.
- To successfully romance Judy here, players must select the following dialogue options when speaking to Maiko:
- “This wasn’t the plan.”
- “Hold on. Think you’ve gone too far.”
- “[Draw Weapon] Let’s cut to the quick.”
- Kill the Tyger Claws, then speak with Maiko.
- “What?”
- “Can’t know that for sure.”
Pyramid Song
- To unlock Pyramid Song, Judy’s final side gig and romance opportunity, complete Pisces and wait 24 in-game hours for a phone call.
- Agree to meet her at the dam past Ranch Coronado.
- Upon arriving, agree to go diving with Judy.
- Following the successful dive, agree to spend the night.
- After activating the generator and hearing Judy, return and knock on the bathroom door. Ask if everything is okay, then tell her, “We’re still synced.”
- Judy will now open up to V, explaining everything wrong. Here, players will want to choose the “[Touch] It is ours” dialogue option.
- Judy and V will spend the night together, with the player waking the following day to find Judy on the dock outside. Speak with her to ask about the previous night, continue the relationship into the future, and ensure Judy appears at the game’s conclusion, choosing “The beginning of something amazing.”
