The Dallas Mavericks training camp roster is set. The team announced the signings of McKinley Wright IV, Tyler Hall and D.J. Stewart Jr., along with forwards Mouhamadou Gueye and Marcus Bingham Jr., Wednesday morning, filling the final roster vacancies.

Wright, a Minnesota native, signed a two-way contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves after going undrafted in 2021. He appeared in five games with the Timberwolves and 18 games with their G League affiliate, the Iowa Wolves. He averaged 19.1 points, 4.6 rebounds, 7.7 assists and 1.6 steals in 36.9 minutes in the G League.

Hall spent the last three seasons with the Westchester Knicks in the G League after going undrafted in 2019. During the 2021-22 season, he averaged 15.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, 4.9 assists and 35.1 minutes while shooting 41.7% on three-pointers and started all his 25 games.

Stewart appeared in 12 games with the Sioux Falls Skyforce in the G League last season after going undrafted in 2021. He averaged 4.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.1 assists and 1.8 steals in 35.8 minutes.

Gueye went undrafted in 2022. He most recently played for the University of Pittsburgh, averaging 9.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.1 assists, 2.1 blocks and 29.2 minutes in 32 games for the Panthers.

After going undrafted, Bingham was a member of the Mavericks Summer League team in Las Vegas this year. He averaged 5.4 points, 4.2 rebounds, 1.2 steals, 0.8 blocks and 15.8 minutes in five games in Las Vegas.

“We have Marcus Bingham,” Mavericks assistant coach Greg St. Jean said before Summer League. “He’s coming from Tom Izzo’s system at Michigan State. Coach Izzo does a phenomenal job preparing his guys to play in the NBA. So, when he comes in Day 1, he’s prepared.”

The Mavericks did not announce the terms of the deals, per team policy. However, each player likely signed a non-guaranteed training camp contract. These allow teams to waive players before the start of the regular season at a typical rate of $2,000 per week (pro rata).

NBA teams can carry 20 players on the training camp rosters. However, teams must cut that number to 15 plus two two-way players before starting the regular season.

Dallas begins training camp Tuesday, September 27. They will play three preseason games between Wednesday, October 5 and Friday, October 14. The Mavericks tip-off the regular season on the road against the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday, October 19.
