Even though the Portland Trail Blazers don’t want to deal Damian Lillard, they still have to be prepared for all options.
One of those options includes Lillard being traded to the Miami Heat and based on a report from The Athletic’s Sam Amick, Lillard would welcome the move.
“Lillard indeed has serious interest in joining the Heat, who would surely love to pair him with Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo. If it reaches this point — and there’s still an ‘if’ here considering all the times Lillard chose not to ask out before — Lillard’s wishes would matter a great deal because of the enormity of his contract,” Amick wrote.

The Blazers are currently shutting down anyone that tries to call on Lillard and there’s no telling on how long that will be the case for, per ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Lillard had another insane season and would be a great addition for the Heat if they’re able to convince the Blazers to change their tune.
He averaged 32 points, seven assists, and just shy of five rebounds per game, though the Blazers finished 33-49.
It’ll be interesting to see where this goes.
