Damian Lillard has been intensely loyal to the Portland Trail Blazers franchise since it selected him with the sixth overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft. But now that the organization has the No. 3 pick in this year’s draft, it could be time for the two side to part ways.
Lillard reportedly wants a win-now veteran addition instead of a work-in-progress rookie at No. 3.
During a recent appearance on The Last Stand with Brian Custer, Lillard revealed that he “wouldn’t mind” getting traded to either Miami of Brooklyn.
“Miami is the obvious one,” he said with a laugh. “Bam is my dog. Brooklyn is another obvious one because Mikal Bridges is my dog too. Both have capable rosters.”

While rumors about a possible trade have swirled this offseason, it appears Lillard ultimately hopes to stay in Portland. A couple weeks ago, the superstar point guard called on Blazers fans to start a petition if they truly want him to leave.
“If the fans [wanna] trade me … start the petition and send it in,” he wrote on Twitter.
“I been on the same time [for] over a decade lol,” he added. “I’m just saying, if the [people] got different wishes.”

Trade rumors will no doubt continue as the draft approaches on June 22.
