Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill appeared on Friday’s Good Morning Britain to discuss the latest series of Dancing on Ice which will begin this weekend. However, Christopher explained to hosts Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway how he has been coping since his hospital dash earlier this week.
As they sat down to chat about the new series, Kate aired her concern for Christopher admitting: “I’ve been worried about you.”
She continued: “[And] When you’re going to be ready because we heard the news you’ve broken a bone.
“Richard Arnold told us it was just a finger. Let’s see some evidence, Chris, where is this finger?”
As the DOI judge held up his hand, Kate gasped: “Oh my goodness.”

“And I didn’t want to hurt him but he’s got his splint.”
When questioned on whether they were ready for the show this weekend, Jayne insisted: “Absolutely.”
The professional skater even recalled her own injury experience, admitting she had a nasty fall last year.
She said the first day on the ice, she slipped, fell backwards and used her hand as support which is something you should never do.
Earlier this week, Christopher worried DOI fans after sharing a picture of his bandaged finger on social media.
He wrote: “We were trying the Iron Lotus, but ended up doing a Half Nelson [referencing a fictional move in Blades of Glory] or did I just fall over a suitcase in the middle of the night.”
Chris and Jayne will return to the judging panel this weekend, along with Ashley Banjo and Oti Mabuse as they watch a fresh bunch of celebrity contestants putting their skills to the test.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
