The performance honoured Goodman’s love for ballroom and featured Henry Mancini’s iconic song ‘Moon River’. It ended with his voiceover saying, “All good things have to come to an end.” Following the performance, the audience was visibly touched along with judges Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli, who broke down into tears. DWTS shared a video of the emotional performance on X, formerly Twitter, with the caption, “A beautiful tribute to the one and only, Len Goodman.” The video captured users’ hearts as many left tribute messages for Goodman.

A DWTS fan wrote, “This was a beautiful tribute… exactly what Len would have wanted. Some past stars said it was their way to say goodbye to the show.… In a way it was for me too. I used to watch it religiously, but over the past I’ve stopped.” Another emotional fan expressed, “I had tears in my eyes during the dance tribute. Len will never be forgotten. This tribute was beautiful and heartwarming I’m sure he was smiling down, giving this performance a 10 love you Len.” One more user wrote, “After tonight’s show, I will now associate an instrumental version of ‘Moon River’ with this tribute to Len Goodman. The proper English gentleman who called it as he saw it and was embraced by everyone he knew.”
