Earlier this year, reports suggested that Wembanyama might not take part in any Summer League action. But since then, both the French superstar and Spurs coach Gregg Popovich have said that he plans on playing.
“I can’t wait to wear my first Spurs jersey,” Wembanyama said after the draft.
It’s still unclear how many games or how much time Wembanyama will play this summer, but fans should get excited to see the No. 1 overall pick take the court in some capacity.
Summer League in Las Vegas runs July 7-17.
