Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has made a decision over a huge contract offer from Saudi Arabia, according to reports.

The 32-year-old’s current United deal expires this summer – although the club have the option to extend it by a further year if they do not want to let him go.

United have agreed new terms with De Gea but it emerged this week that the Red Devils could be set to make a U-turn.

That could allow the Spaniard to leave Old Trafford on a free transfer and he has received a lucrative offer to move out to the Saudi league.

But according to talkSPORT, De Gea is set to reject the Saudi offer and his preference is to remain at Old Trafford.

Jamie Carragher feels De Gea is a ‘big problem’ for United and believes a new goalkeeper is a priority signing for Erik ten Hag this summer.

Diogo Costa and David Raya have both been linked with moves to United with the former goalkeeper expected to leave Porto this summer.

Brentford will reluctantly listen to offers for Raya but will not accept anything lower than around £35m.

Meanwhile, United’s back-up goalkeeper Dean Henderson could be set to depart and permanently join Nottingham Forest, with the clubs in advanced talks.

Henderson has just spent the season on loan at the City Ground and Forest are keen to make it a permanent deal despite his injury-hit 2022-23 campaign.
