Earlier this month, it was reported the antique expert and presenter David Dickinson was quitting his long-running ITV show after he had finished filming for the next series. However, the 81-year-old has set the record straight and put the rumours about his departure to bed.

After moving from the BBC’s antiques show Bargain Hunt back in 2004, David has become a staple figure for ITV on weekday afternoons.
Dickinson’s Real Deal has kept the nation entertained for nearly two decades as viewers watch people across the country sell their items to professional dealers on the show.
However, when an anonymous source told MailOnline the 81-year-old would soon be quitting after wrapping up the next season, fans worried the end was imminent.
On Thursday’s instalment of Loose Women, David confessed that’s not the case.

He added “Standing down?! Then several newspapers started to take it up. My agent, they denied and said, ‘we know nothing about it’.
“I said, ‘I know nothing about it!’, so where do they get the story from? I have no idea.”
However, the 81-year-old revealed fans of the show won’t have to wait much longer until a new instalment of the show is back on screen.
David teased: “All I can tell you is, next week on Saturday were filming series 19, it’s going fantastically well.”

Although David may be staying on the show, expert Cheryl Hakeney announced she’s stepping down from Dickinson’s Real Deal to focus on her other business.
Making her debut on the show 14 years ago, the 56-year-old is a well-known face on the series.
However, she sadly won’t have time to film the new season due to the increasing popularity of her fashion business.
Mimi Boutique, which she owns with her Love Island daughter Zara Holland, has doubled in size since the pandemic.
Cheryl told MailOnline: “I did the show for 14 years. I was one of the originals but now mine and Zara’s business is booming.
