Last night in New York, the entire Stranger Things cast reunited for the hit Netflix series’s season four premiere. Cast mates Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, and Winona Ryder all walked the red carpet in stylish looks—but it was David Harbour who stole the show in his custom, thematic suit. It even has a Demogorgon on it!
Harbour tells Vogue he knew he wanted a bold look for the premiere—so he chose a custom suit that paid homage to the signature Stranger Things aesthetic (which is equal parts retro and spooky). The design, embellished with the show’s characters and the “upside down” world they inhabit, was designed by Union Western—the suiting brand known to bedazzle pieces for Post Malone and more. “My wife [Lily Allen] at one point worked with Union Western,” says Harbour. “They make these mad suits for rockstars, so I figured, let’s f*king do this!”

His favorite element of the bespoke suit was how hefty it was. “It’s unexpectedly heavy. I love it,” says Harbour. “It’s its own funky object d’art. The embroidery and the rhinestones are hard not to love.” He adds that the flashy look was also a node to Harbour’s late mother, who passed away in 2019. “My mom was a big Elvis fan, and this is the first premiere of Stranger Things that she has missed,” says Harbour. “Her pride in me and her love of the show warranted some wild ‘Elvisy’ expression this year.”
