Grab your garden gloves and dig in to the always-anticipated annual spring plant sale at the Denver Botanic Gardens on May 6 and 7, with tens of thousands of plants available. In addition to 15 plant divisions (herbs, vegetables, hanging baskets, seeds, container gardens, water-smart plants, etc.), the sale includes gardening supplies and gifts. Crisp & Green grand opening

Denver is turning over a new leaf. Crisp & Green, a fast-casual eatery offering made-from-scratch healthy fare, opens its first Denver location (7111 E. Lowry Blvd.) in The Exchange at Boulevard One on May 7. Green Line Music Festival

In honor of Mental Health Month in May, Denver-based nonprofit Fishing the Good Fight (FTGF) is throwing a music festival at Local 46 (4586 Tennyson St.) on May 7 from 3 to 8 p.m. to raise awareness and funds for its mission of improving all lives by serving men facing mental health challenges. The free Green Line Music Festival will feature music from Gasoline Lollipops, Morsel and other artists. There will also be a silent auction, with prizes including a custom FTGF-branded skis from Icelantic Nomadic Skis, a two-day guided wade trip and more. Taste of Iceland

Erie Town Fair

Summertime means road trips — even if it’s just for the day. And Erie has a high-flying reason to get up early, pack some snacks and hit the road on May 21. You don’t want to miss the colorful hot air balloon launch that highlights the 25th annual Erie Town Fair & Balloon Festival. Rocky Mountain Stamp Show

Philatelists of all ages are placing a stamp on Denver. What’s a philatelist? A stamp collector. Hundreds will be at the Rocky Mountain Stamp Show May 27-29 at the Arapahoe County Fairgrounds (25690 E. Quincy Ave.) in Aurora. Young collectors, ages 8 to 14, can attend Stamp Camp Denver with lots of fun activities, including stamp identification, care of stamps and their value, creating 3-D exhibits and earning “Stamp Camp Cash” for use in a real auction. Landmark Theatres’ Retro Replay

Landmark Theatres is presenting Retro Replay, at the Mayan Theatre (110 Broadway) in Denver. The theme changes every month so you can check out a different film every Tuesday at a blockbuster price: just $7 per ticket. Expect lots of pop culture classics, including cult favorites, on the big screen. For May, the theme is “May is for Mothers!” Mark your calendar for May 3, 10, 17, 24 and 31. Kids bowl free
