Actor Deepika Singh Goyal has said that after marriage, she faces troubles each time she wants to support her parents. Deepika is currently gearing up for the release of her debut film Titu Ambani. (Also read: Anniversary amid lockdown for Deepika Singh Goyal and Rohit Raj Goyal)
She has also worked in the TV show Ghum Hai Kisi Ke Pyar Mein. Best known for her role in Diya Aur Baati Hum, Deepika essays the lead role in Titu Ambani which is written and directed by her husband Rohit Raj Goyal. It also features Raghubir Yadav and Tusshar Pandey.
Asked if her onscreen character from the film is similar to her real life personality, Deepika told Dainik Bhaskar, “I am not exactly the same as Mausami, that is a character that has been written. But, I am as honest as Mausami. I also feel that I should help my parents whenever the need be. I always stand with them whenever I get the chance. But when I go to help my parents, I face similar problems. Even if they really need it, they will tell me ‘we do not need anything’.”
She added, “They tell me ‘you should look after your own house. You should stay happy in your own house.’ Perhaps it is such an old thing, it is not that easy to take help from one’s daughter. ” Deepika’s character in her debut film fights through a similar situation.
Deepika found her life partner, Rohit Raj Goyal on the sets of her show Diya Aur Baati Hum. He was one of the directors of the show. Deepika and Rohit got married in May 2014. They now have a four-year-old son.
On the show Diya Aur Baati Hum, she played the role of a woman, who studied and become an IPS officer after her marriage. In an interview with Hindustan Times in 2020, Deepika said, “I feel glad to be a part of a show which brought a social change in the society. I remember meeting a few men who told me that after watching this show, they are encouraging their wife to study further and prepare for the job.”
