Delhi Govt Announces Special Yoga Classes for COVID Patients, Link To Activate Today, 1st Batch From Tomorrow, Details – See Latest

Delhi Government to bring special yoga and pranayam classes for the COVID patients announces Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in his press conference. The first batch of online classes will start from January 12, 2022 (Wednesday). Earlier in the day, DDMA released its revised guidelines announcing the closure of all private offices along with Restaurants and Bars in the national capital.

CM Arvind Kejriwal in his conference said, “Special yoga and pranayam classes to be brought in by the Delhi govt for COVID positive patients in home isolation. Yoga boosts immunity. We will send them a link today and classes to begin from tomorrow in different batches”.

The link for online yoga classes will be activated today, on Tuesday. Hence, the patients keep visiting the website delhi.gov.in to enroll and register. The yoga classes will comprise of a trainer and 15 patients.  

According to the new orders from the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), all private offices shall be closed except those which are falling under the exempted category as prescribed in DDMA order 460 dated August 08, 2021. However, the practice of working from home shall be followed. Similarly, all restaurants and bars shall be closed. However, restaurants will be allowed only from home delivery or takeaways of food items. The revised guidelines have been issued in wake of the worsening Coronavirus situation in Delhi.  

Further, according to the DDMA orders, the movement of the individuals for the activities specified as “Essential goods & services” or “Exempted category” as prescribed in Order no. 460 shall be allowed during night curfews, weekend curfew with the possession of e-pass in soft or hard copy.

E-pass can be obtained by applying on the website delhi.gov.in. “The concerned magistrates shall be responsible for issuance of e-passes for above activities in their respective jurisdictions,” reads the DDMA notification.

Know Who is Exempted?

1) Officers or Offices of Government of India, Subordinate Offices and PSUs on the production of valid I card and as per the restrictions imposed by Government of India. 

2) Hon’ble Judges and all Judicial officers, Officials, staff members of all courts of Delhi (Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, Hon’ble High Court, Tribunals) as well as Advocates, Legal Counsels, connected with the cases hearing on the production of valid I card, Service Id Card, Photo Entry Passes, Permission Letters issued by the court administration.

3) Officers or officials functioning in the offices of Diplomats of various countries as well as persons holding any Constitutional post on the production of valid I card. All private medical personnel such as Doctors, Nursing Staff, Paramedical, etc, and other hospital services (such as hospitals, diagnostic centers, testing laboratories, clinics, pharmacies, pharmaceutical companies, medical oxygen suppliers, and other medical and health services including incidental services or activities such as the supply of medical instrument and consumables, sanitation, security, etc. on the production of valid I card.

4) Pregnant women and patients for getting medical or health services along with attendant on the production of valid i card, Doctor’s prescription, or medical papers.

6) Persons who are going for Covid-19 testing or vaccination, on the production of valid I card.

7) Persons coming from or going to Airports, Railway stations/ ISBTs allowed to ravel on the production of valid ticket.

8) Electronic and Print media on production of valid I card.

9) Persons, students shall be allowed to appear in the examination on the production of a valid Admit Card. The examination staff deployed for exam duties shall be allowed to travel on the production of valid I cards or examination duty orders.

10) Movement of individuals for marriage-related gatherings up to 20 persons (on the production of soft or hard copy of marriage card).
