Delta Air Lines continues its post-pandemic expansion to offer service to more domestic destinations. If you’re flying through Dallas, you can book Delta flights from Love Field (DAL) in addition to the current offers at the busier Dallas-Ft.Worth International Airport (DFW).

New Delta Air Lines Direct Flights From Dallas

Starting this summer, Delta is offering nonstop access to 125 U.S. destinations from Dallas Love Field Airport. The airline has a permanent presence at Gate 11. Three new flights include:

  • Twice-daily service to New York-La Guardia (LGA)
  • Twice-daily service to Los Angeles (LAX)
  • Five daily flights to Atlanta (ATL)

These additional flights begin on June 5, 2023. There will be 40 peak-day departures to eight popular U.S. destinations from both Dallas airports.

The Dallas-originating flights will also utilize the Airbus A319 fleet, which includes free Wi-Fi, inflight entertainment screens and curated content from Spotify.

New Delta Flights From Austin

The airline is also expanding its daily service from other major cities throughout Texas, as there will be 20% more seats compared to July 2022.

Here is an example of the increased daily frequency from Austin-Bergstrom Airport (AUS) and their corresponding start dates.

Starting June 5, 2023

  • New York-JFK: 4x flights
  • Salt Lake City (SLC): 4x

Beginning June 10, 2023

  • Atlanta (ATL): 10x
  • Boston (BOS): 3x
  • Los Angeles (LAX): 4x
  • Minneapolis-St.Paul (MSP): 4x
  • Raleigh-Durham (RDU): 2x
  • Seattle (SEA): 3x

Austin’s airport also makes it easy to fly nonstop on Delta to Mexico City, Amsterdam and London. The airline also has several new international airline routes for 2023.

Restarted Delta Flights From Texas

Delta is also restarting two notable routes from San Antonio (SAT) and Harlingen (HRL).

San Antonio to New York’s JFK restarts on May 8, 2023, for the first time since 2020. It will operate on the Airbus A220 aircraft.

Seasonal service between Harlingen and Minneapolis-St. Paul began on February 17, 2023, on the Airbus A320 airliner.

Final Thoughts

Texas is bustling with activity from permanent residents, tourists and business travelers. These new routes make it easier to jet across the country. It’s exciting to see the skies open up a little more than the previous years, even as the industry addresses post-pandemic challenges such as increasing airline staff pay.
