Michael Jordan’s game-winning shot in Game 6 of the 1998 NBA Finals is one of the most iconic shots in NBA history. “The Last Shot,” as it came to be known, signaled the end of an era for one of the sport’s great dynasties.
The shot won the Bulls their sixth NBA championship of the decade and also completed their second three-peat. Chicago has not advanced to the NBA Finals since 1998, with Jordan retiring the following season.
The shot has gone down in NBA history, but one of Jordan’s teammates says he was in awe of what was happening – even while he was on the court to witness it.
It's been 25 years since MJ's clutch jumper secured the Bulls' sixth title.

Dennis Rodman, who was on the floor when Jordan took the shot 25 years ago, says he knew exactly what was going to happen when the ball was inbounded.
“I didn’t even have to do s—,” Rodman said in “The Last Dance.” “He’s gonna shoot this f—er. He is not going to pass the f—ing ball.”
That’s exactly what happened, as Jordan would take the ball on the top of the key, drive inside on Bryon Russell, and rise for a mid-range jumpshot.
The resulting image would go on to live in immortality, with Jordan holding his follow-through as the shot went in.
Chicago went on to win the game and the rest, as they say, is history.
