The city of Denver is temporarily making it easier for everyone to celebrate the Colorado Avalanche.
Officials announced Wednesday that the city is allowing a temporary waiver of the 30-day rule for a temporary modification of premises application.
The change makes it easier to expand where drinks are served, allowing for easier operations for bars and restaurants who want to host Avalanche watch parties, following the team’s advance to the Stanley Cup finals.
Bars and restaurants will still have to submit an application to expand their premises online or through the mail and await approval or denial, but the waived 30-day waiting period will allow business to get right to planning watch parties as soon as the games begin.
