Denver weather: High of 92 and mostly clear Tuesday, with critical fire danger on Eastern Plains

A high of 92 degrees is expected in metro Denver on Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Conditions will be more severe on the Eastern Plains, though, with the National Weather Service issuing a fire weather watch from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, warning that dry and windy conditions could fuel rapid wildfire spread. The weather service discourages all outdoor burning and the use of any machinery that could create sparks in dry grasses.

In metro Denver, Tuesday’s forecast looks sunny and mostly clear throughout the day and into the night, when temperatures likely will drop to a low of around 63.

Although no precipitation is expected Tuesday, a slight chance of thunderstorms and showers are possible beginning Wednesday and lasting through Saturday.
