A pop-up grocery store that’s hit Chicago, Miami and Los Angeles is planning to set up shop in Denver this month.

Pop Up Grocer, which dubs itself “the world’s first pop-up grocery store,” will open Sept. 30 at 2649 Walnut St. for one month. The Mile High City will be its ninth location since the concept first launched in 2019.

“We chose Denver because it’s an active, wellness-minded city that has become a hotspot for small businesses, travelers and new residents over the last few years,” said Emily Schildt, founder and CEO. “Their downtown area blends urban charm and a unique industrial revival — with live music, a thriving food scene, art galleries that spill onto the streets and over 40 breweries.”

The shop will run from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. until Oct. 30.

It will feature more than 120 brands — “over 50% women-owned and 90% vegan” — and more than 300 products. Centennial State brands will also be found on shelves, such as Rowdy Mermaid kombucha, Courtside coconut water-based beverages, Hazlo tequila mixer, NuRange Coffee and more.
