The right-handed batter first shattered the stumps after being given out by the on-field umpire as she was given LBW controversially. She claimed that the ball edged her bat before hitting the stumps.

The 34-year-old even had a heated argument with umpire Tanvir Ahmed while pointing a finger at the official. Later during the post-match presentation, she said that the umpiring was poor in the game and would consider it for their future tours of the country.

However, her actions during the customary photo-op with the opposition skipper to pose for the shared trophy irked Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana, who asked her team to walk away.

Hamanpreet Kaur controversial video goes viral

Now a video of the Indian skipper’s arrogant behaviour is now doing the rounds on social media in which Harmanpreet, who was visibly angry with the poor umpiring, said something unpleasant to the Bangladesh team. While the audio in the video isn’t available but Harmanpreet could be seen gesturing host team to call umpires for the photo-op along with the players.

“Bring the umpires too… Why you are only here? You haven’t tied the match. The umpires did it for you. Call them up! We better have a photo with them as well,” Kaur is what the video doing the rounds on social media allegedly quotes Kaur telling Bangladesh captain Nigar Sultana.

Watching the video, one can say that Kaur was taking a dig at the host team, as well as the umpires, with her ‘bring the umpires too’ jibe, which is clearly denigrating. The right-handed batter indirectly accused the umpires of helping the hosts tie the game and forcing the series to end in a draw.

Harmanpreet Kaur accuses umpires of cheating?

Irked with the Indian captain’s actions, former India cricketer Madal Lal – who was part of the 1983 World Cup-winning Indian team – claimed the BCCI should take disciplinary action against her for bringing disrepute to Indian cricket.

“Harmanpreet’s behaviour against the Bangladesh women’s team was pathetic. She is not bigger than the game. She got a very bad name for Indian cricket. BCCI should take very strict disciplinary action,” Madan Lal tweeted.

It is being reported that Kaur is expected to be handed a 75 per cent match fee and four demerit points for her behaviour at Sher-e-Bangla Stadium. The global cricket body (ICC) is likely to penalise Kaur on two incidents that happened during the series decider.

As per reports, the India batter is going to be fined a 50 per cent match fee for smashing the wickets while a further 25 per cent will be charged for her rant against the umpiring decisions.

However, Kaur’s deputy Smriti Mandhana had defended her actions and when asked about the former’s selection of words during the photo-op, the India opener said the skipper said anything like that.

“I don’t think (she said this). You have stated it. I don’t think she said anything towards the Bangladesh captain. From whatever I heard, think talked a bit about umpiring. I don’t think she said anything about them (the Bangladesh players),” Mandhana said during the press conference after the match.
