Australians facing a mental health crisis will be unable to access Lifeline services tonight as the service battles a “technical issue”.
The organisation’s voice, text and chat services are all currently unavailable due to the issue, which has not been explained in detail.
“We are working hard to resolve the issue and get the service back online as soon as possible,” Lifeline said on Twitter.

Those who feel like their life is in danger are urged to call Triple Zero 000 for assistance.
Lifeline did not confirm when its systems would be back online.
It’s also unclear if the organisation has been the subject of a cyber attack.
13 Yarn, Lifeline’s Indigenous crisis hotline, has also been affected by the technical difficulties.
Kids Helpline has not been impacted by the outage as it is run by a seperate company.
