Discover Pietro Simone’s World-Famous “Pro-Aging” Facials At His New Skin Clinic In New York City

This bold declaration succinctly captures the philosophy of Italian-born skincare specialist Pietro Simone, who just opened his U.S. flagship clinic in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood. Called The House of Pietro Simone, and located on the second floor of a classic pre-war building, it’s unlike any other place I’ve gotten a facial. Bathed in muted tones of ivory and sand, the space is kitted out with chic furnishings to lend a cozy, residential vibe that beckons you to linger before and after your treatment.

Simone continues: “I don’t believe in chronology, because beautiful skin has nothing to do with your age. It’s about your lifestyle. Do you use drugs? How is your diet? Where are you emotionally?”

Rather than enlist a “trademark” facial like many of his famous peers, Simone looks at every client with fresh eyes. “When you come here, you and your skin are the stars,” he explains. “What you won’t get is marketing BS. What you will get is my undivided attention, and all of my knowledge. I personally research every single thing here, from the products to the machines, and believe in layering different techniques that are best for your needs.”

It’s true. While I stepped into his clinic thinking I’d be again getting his iconic organic cotton thread facial—which I first tried back in 2019 at The Greenwich Hotel—I was wrong. Instead, Simone meticulously scanned my complexion with his eyes and hands, identified excessive dryness (the result of just coming off a month of overseas travel) and pesky broken blood vessels (I chalk that up to genetics), and went to work.

During the sixty minutes, he enlisted a mix of tried-and-true hand techniques (muscle manipulation and lymphatic drainage), his innovative products including items from his new Fierce Collection, and technology like V-IPL to address my current skincare concerns, while laying the groundwork for long-term results. (I was told I’d need several V-IPL sessions to zap way the remaining visible blood vessels on my cheeks and nose.)

Though my face was flushed post-facial, Simone says that’s the point. “It’s healthy, and shows the work I’ve done,” he says. “This is the result of blood flowing into the muscles and skin, and cellular communication.” He’ll also want you to continue the work at home with a good regimen and habits. Simone explains, “I want you to have the best, so you need to engage and commit.
