Disneyland Paris is celebrating its 30th in style including brand new shows

Disneyland Paris 30th anniversary celebrations kick off in March 2022 and the theme park is marking the milestone in style with new shows, special food and drink, and heaps more surprises for guests

Disneyland Paris has finally revealed what guests can expect at its 30th anniversary celebrations this year – and Mickey Mouse ‘s French home really is marking the milestone in style.

We’re talking brand new shows, specially-created merchandise, heaps of themed food and drinks, and even a brand new attraction, Gardens of Wonder.

The resort, which boasts two theme parks, will be kicking off the special anniversary celebrations on March 6 2022, and there’s plenty for Disney fans to get excited about.

New shows

New daytime show

This exciting new show will be performed several times a day on the Central Plaza, right in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle. Mickey Mouse will be joined by over 30 beloved Disney characters and dancers, complete with colourful floats.

Oh, and it’ll be a great chance for Mickey and friends to show off their special 30th anniversary outfits too!

Disney D-Light

Taking place right before the iconic Disney Illuminations evening show on the castle, Disney D-Light will use video projections, illuminated water jets, lighting effects, mist and famous Disney songs.

What’s particularly cool is that it will feature over 200 drones for a special choreography right above the castle. In fact, it’s the first time a Disney Park will be using drone technology as part of a daily outdoor show.

That includes a brand new theme song too named ‘Un monde qui s’illumine’ – meaning a world that lights up – which was recorded by a symphony orchestra at the famous Abbey Road Studios.

New attractions

Gardens of Wonder

Disneyland Park will become home to new Gardens of Wonder with 10 different themed gardens in front of the Sleeping Beauty Castle.

There will be 30 art sculptures paying tribute to 30 iconic Disney and Pixar characters – and not all will be obvious to find, so guests can enjoy trying to spot them as they wander through!

Avengers Campus

As Disneyland Paris celebrates its 30th anniversary, in summer 2022 superhero fans will finally be able to check out the new Avengers Campus complete with new attractions, restaurants, a shop and plenty of opportunity to snap a selfie with beloved Marvel characters.

More new additions to get excited about

Disneyland Park’s makeover

The theme park will be redecorated with iridescent features with sparkling blue and purple hues adorning the likes of Disney Village and Main Street Station.

The Sleeping Beauty Castle has already undergone a magical transformation in time for the anniversary – its first major refurbishment since the resort’s opening.

Meanwhile Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto and more will be rocking special new iridescent outfits.

Minnie Mouse will also rock her first pantsuit at the park for Women’s History Month, designed by fashion icon Stella McCartney.

New merchandise

It’s not just Mickey and friends who can get a whole new look; Disney fans can get their hands on heaps new clothing and accessories across the 63 boutiques and shops in the theme parks. In fact there are over 350 new exclusive items that have been created for the anniversary from jackets and bags to limited edition key chains, toys, headbands and mugs.

New food and drink

Foodies will be able to try a whole host of new delectable treats with over 60 new dishes on offer.

We’re talking everything from delectable desserts to exclusive cocktails. Highlights include 30th-themed macarons, a white chocolate and strawberry cake named ‘Le Bouquet Final’, and even pastries decorated with surprises such as purple chocolate!

For those feeling thirty there will be plenty of drinks such as a pink ‘Happy Birthday Cocktail’, a blueberry puree ‘Smoothie with a twist’ and the must-try blue ‘Enchanted Flute’.
