At the 2022 Billboard Music Awards on May 15, Doja Cat took home four trophies for top R&B artist, top R&B female artist, top viral song, and top R&B album. If that wasn’t enough, the “Kiss Me More” singer made our jaws drop with the stunning Schiaparelli black gown and gold accessories she wore for the awards show. By now we expect the pop star to capture our attention with every new look, but we didn’t expect her to show up to the event with short nails or intricate gold rings that look like they’re worth more than my student loans.
The “Say So” singer didn’t hesitate to take risks for this look, something we love from her. Makeup artist Ernesto Casillas gave her a neutral smokey eye with a hint of bright yellow on the inner crease and waterline that complemented the daring gown very well. As for her hair, hairstylist Jared Henderson (known as JStay Ready to many) slicked her dark hair into a high ponytail with a flipped end that we have a good feeling was fun to whip around.
