Download Festival recently announced the line-up of artists for their 20th event, Download 2023, which is taking place at Donington Park from June 8-11, 2023. For the first time ever, the occasion is going to be four days long, with the incredible metal gods Metallica claiming the first and third nights of the celebration, while Slipknot and Bring Me The Horizon are playing the other two. Today, new presale tickets are hitting the internet today – but only for some fans.
Where can you buy Download Festival 2023 tickets?
Barclaycard’s discounted presale tickets for Download Festival 2023 were released earlier this week – but only for the bank’s users.
These presale tickets are available until tonight, at 9pm, on Wednesday, November 9, 2022.
Barclaycard customers can only claim a 10 percent discount from the total ticket price when they pay with their Barclaycard. But act fast, as there isn’t much time left in the ticket drop.
Tonight – Wednesday, November 9, 2022, at 9pm – major ticket retailers such as Ticketmaster and Live Nation, etc, will release their own presale tickets for Download Festival 2023.
These ticket sellers usually release presale codes through their email subscription service, as well – and there’s still time to sign up to their mailing list.
Presale codes for these tickets will be distributed by Download Festival through their mailing list. You can subscribe to their email list on the official website here.
This ticket retailer presale follows the official Download Festival presale which kicked off earlier this week on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.
The final batch of tickets will be released in the general onsale drop.
These Download Festival 2023 tickets will hit the internet on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 10am.

This will be the final batch of tickets being released by the iconic festival, so hopeful attendees must act fast if they haven’t already secured a spot at the event by this point.
Metallica are set to headline both Thursday and Saturday nights and will mark the occasions by playing two entirely different sets with no repeated songs.
The band said: “We are next-level honoured to once again come back and partake in the Download shenanigans on the hallowed grounds of Castle Donington, which has an unparalleled place in rock history. On top of that, to be able to share our double show format with two completely unique sets with no repeat songs for the first time ever in the U.K is way f****n’ cool. Bring it on!!”

Bring Me The Horizon are taking on Friday night. Their frontman, Oli Sykes, said: “Download Festival was one of the first festivals I ever attended as a punter. It was our first amazing festival experience to play as a band, and now the fact that we are headlining such a prestigious event blows my mind. We can’t wait to bring a whole new sound and show for the Download audience.”
Slipknot will bring the event o an end on Sunday night. The band’s Sid Wilson said: “Download Festival! So many great memories, one of the most amazing crowds to play in front of, always an honour to share the bill with so many amazing bands, and of course, I’ll never miss the opportunity to play my homeland.”
These three enormous bands are being joined by some fantastic artists, including Architects, Placebo, Stray From The Path, Pendulum and Parkway Drive, to name just a few.
