Rick Ross was mistaken for one of his closest collaborators during a recent trip to Jamaica.
Over the weekend, Rozay took to his Instagram Stories to share an interaction he had with two women who mistook the MMG boss for Drake.
Ross asked the pair if they knew who he was. “Do you know my name?” he said in the below clip. After a short pause, both women responded by naming Drizzy.
Ross posted the clip and tagged Drake. “@champagnepapi they need you in Jamaica,” he wrote.
After catching wind of Rick Ross’ interaction, Drake reposted a screenshot of the clip on his own Instagram Stories.
“At least they know we identical twins,” Drizzy wrote to Ross.
Fans of Drake and Ross have been waiting years for their long-rumored collaborative project YOLO. A decade after first teasing a joint album with Drake, Ross shed light on its existence during an interview with Complex in April 2021.
“[YOLO] was just a vibe,” Rozay said. “You never know what could happen in the future, but me and Drake, him being in Miami at that time [in 2011-2012], and him coming by the crib every day, we was spending a lot of time together. And it was a serious possibility. We wasn’t just talking shit. We really was in the studio a lot. It’s just not the same no more. Meaning, the way he travel and the way I move. But is it a possibility? There’s always a possibility for that, because it would be simple for us.”
