Draymond Green is excited to welcome Chris Paul to the fold.
After recently re-signing with the Golden State Warriors, Green discussed the team’s recent offseason acquisition on Paul George’s podcast. The forward believes the point guard “adds another thing to the menu” in terms of how they score.
Furthermore, Green thinks Paul will particularly help one big man’s development.
“I think Chris Paul will completely unlock Jonathan Kuminga and his growth,” Green said.

Green called Paul “great with young guys,” crediting the veteran for turning around DeAndre Ayton’s career with the Phoenix Suns. The center’s scoring efficiency has improved in three seasons alongside CP3.
Kuminga averaged 9.9 points and 3.4 rebounds per game during his second season. While the former No. 7 pick has shown some promising signs, the 20-year-old didn’t significantly factor into Golden State’s playoff rotation.
The 6-foot-8 forward will now play with a gifted ball-distributor who can create offense for Kuminga of pick-and-rolls. Perhaps Paul will make Kuminga a more essential member of the team’s short-term plans.
