The Pleasant Dream reports that Google search data shows a 50% jump in people looking for the meaning of “divorce dreams” in March.

Turns out March and August, according to a study from the University of Washington, are the months when divorce filings peak.

The biannual spike suggests that some element of divorce is seasonal. Filings were highest in those months, which mark the end of winter and summer holidays.

Researchers suggest holidays, while usually anticipated as a time of new beginnings, can often be emotionally charged and can expose cracks in a marriage.

Data suggests that divorce filings may be driven by a “domestic ritual” calendar governing family behaviour, and a similar pattern in guardianship filings bore that out.

Claims less related to family structure, such as property claims, did not show the pattern.

The jump in google searches for the meaning of dreams about divorce in the month of March suggest people might well be dreaming about the action they want to take.

Dreams about divorce, according to The Pleasant Dream, “may imply a sticky situation in your romantic life, your desire to work on your shortcomings, troubles while you make it up to your family, someone’s help, or that you lost your way to your goals.”
