Police on Thursday fined a driver for carrying a groom in a bulldozer at his wedding procession in Madhya Pradesh’s Betul district.

The Madhya Pradesh Police on Thursday imposed a fine of Rs 5000 on the driver of a bulldozer after he carried a groom in the vehicle at his wedding procession. The incident took place in Madhya Pradesh’s Betul district on Tuesday.
A case was registered against the driver, identified as Ravi Bhaskar, under relevant sections of the Motor Vehicle Act. The police said bulldozers are used commercially and not for public transport.
GROOM RIDES BULLDOZER
The incident happened on the night of June 21 in Betul’s Kerpani village. The groom rode a bulldozer instead of the usual car or horse to reach his marriage venue.
The groom, identified as Ankush Jaiswal, sat on the blades in front of the bulldozer with some family members and arrived at his wedding. Jaiswal is a civil engineer at Tata Consultancy.
Onlookers who were amazed by the wedding procession took videos of the incident and posted it on social media. The police said the viral video came to their notice and a fine was imposed on the driver.
