However, after a thorough check by mechanics, no issues could be found.
Mr Barbara said mechanics were putting the issues down to the new E10 fuel and warned “every car” would lose some miles to the gallon.
He said: “We’re getting a lot of queries from our customers saying their cars were using more fuel than usual.
“They are wondering if their car needs a service or if they have a fuel leak somewhere.”
