Dua Lipa’s New Chin-Length Bob Is Perfection

Considering a new year hair switch-up? Add Dua Lipa‘s latest chop to your Pinterest board if you’re tempted to jump on the bob-wagon in 2022. Chic bobs were the standout hairstyle of this year, beloved for their minimal upkeep and effortlessly cool appeal.

Lipa is a late addition to 2021’s bob fan club, meaning she’s had time to observe the bob transformations of fellow celebrities including Sienna Miller, Uzo Aduba, Taylor Hill, Monica Bellucci, Bella Hadid, Ciara, Billie Eilish, Kaia Gerber, Jessica Alba, Selena Gomez, Penélope Cruz, Regina King and Billie Piper (the list goes on).

The singer unveiled her new cut in one of her signature photo dumps featuring behind-the-scenes pictures from a shoot with YSL Beauty. It showed Lipa eating sweets while sporting a new and perfectly tousled French-girl bob, which skims an inch or two beneath her jawline and is styled in a center part.

Up until now, Lipa has been wearing longer hair lengths. At the British Fashion Awards, her hair sidekick Luke Hersheson styled her chest-length mane loose and tumbling around her shoulders — an elegant way to complement her custom Maximilian look. But it seems she’s now in the mood to change it up; no surprise at the end of what has been a big year for celebrity hair transformations. Who knows what she’ll do in 2022…could a blonde Dua Lipa be in the cards?
