London-based footwear label Duke+Dexter has teamed up with Ellis Gilbert, founder of Soho Yacht Club, to present a brand new collaboration dubbed Member’s Only.
Sharing an appreciation for archetypal design and contemporary aesthetics, the two brands have partnered to develop their own interpretation of one of the icons of modern footwear: the penny loafer. Using Duke+Dexter’s Wilde loafer as their canvas, the collaborative silhouette combines premium black leather with bold contrast welt stitching.
Coming with tan leather branded insoles, the standout detail is the gold-toned penny which can be found on the middle of the shoe, as well as classic Soho Yacht Club iconography. Extending the pair’s efforts is a concise line-up of clothing and accessories that serve as a reflection of Duke+Dexter’s laid-back ethos and Gilbert’s upbringing. Kicking things off with printed tees, the selection ranges from matching bowling style shirts and shorts to corduroy caps and a silver-branded penny that can be fitted into the loafer’s coin slot.
The ‘Member’s Only’ collection is available from the Duke+Dexter and Soho Yacht Club webstores on May 19.
