Duran Duran fans have the chance to see the multiplatinum-selling band perform in an extremely intimate small-venue setting next month in the Bay Area.
The band — which headlined the SAP Center in San Jose and had a primetime slot at the BottleRock Napa Valley festival back in May — performs at the 500-capacity Guild Theatre in Menlo Park on Aug. 19.
The group announced the news via its social media channels on Thursday.
“Duran Duran will play a benefit concert for The Cancer Awareness Trust following news that friend and former bandmate Andy Taylor had been diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in 2018,” the band tweeted.
Given the band’s immense popularity and the limited size of the venue, demand for these ducats could be quite intense.
The tickets go on sale to members of the Duran Duran VIP Fan Community at noon July 17, with the general on sale to follow at noon July 19 via guildtheatre.com.
