Dwight Howard was one of the best players in the NBA during his prime and he knows it.
While he was with the Orlando Magic, he averaged over 20 points per game in four out of five seasons between 2007-12. That, along with how dominant he was on the glass, were two main reasons why he was so dominant.
Howard is currently putting himself among the all-time greats and even thinks that his prime was better than Nikola Jokic’s, who is still playing.
“Obviously, people going to say Jokic can score. He got all those offensive skills,” Howard said. “But at the same time, I was getting 38 and 20, 45-18, 19, 20, and I’m doing all this with twos. No threes, all twos. I’m doing this with lobs. I’m not getting a lot of post-up attempts like Jokic. He’s getting way more opportunities.”
Jokic currently shoots 34.8% from three-point range while Howard only shot 21.4% from deep. Jokic also averages 20 points and 10.5 rebounds per game while Howard averaged 15.7 points and 11.6 rebounds per game when he was in the NBA.
Howard is set to be in the Hall of Fame soon and Jokic will likely follow him once his career is done.
Who do you think is better Howard and Jokic?
