If you are booking a trip for the coming months and want to earn bonus miles, there’s an easy way. Through July 06, 2023, Delta Air Lines is giving travelers the opportunity to earn 5x miles on qualifying car rental or hotel bookings.

How To Get Delta Miles On Hotel Bookings And Car Rentals
Delta SkyMiles members can earn 5x miles per $1 spent (or equivalent foreign currency) on eligible car rentals and hotel bookings made on www.travelextras-delta.com for travel through September 4, 2023. However, to earn 5x miles, travel must be booked between now and July 06, 2023.
If you aren’t a SkyMiles member, you can signup for free here. The signup process is easy and shouldn’t take more than a few moments. You will need a SkyMiles number when booking travel.
Note that the 5x miles apply after completed bookings. Additionally, the 5x miles are for the base car rental rate and base hotel rates only. Taxes and fees as well as other booking charges will not earn the 5x miles.
Additionally, miles will only be given to the SkyMiles member who makes and pays for the reservation, so be sure to pay and book under your name. Unfortunately, miles that are earned in this limited time promotion do not count towards Medallion Status, Medallion Qualification Miles or Million Miler Status.
Delta Air Lines Flights
Delta flies all over the globe, with the possibility of using your miles to visit over 1,000 destinations with Delta Air Lines or one of its partner airlines. Some of the partner airlines include:
- Aeromexico
- Air France
- Hawaiian Airlines
- KLM Royal Dutch Airlines
- Korean Air
- LATAM
- Virgin Atlantic
- WestJet
Travel can also be booked with both miles and cash. There is no cap on how many miles can be used to book award travel.
Summary
Being able to earn 5x SkyMiles per $1 spent on eligible travel is something to consider if you’ve got travel plans in the coming weeks. Additionally, bookings aren’t limited to the United States, so you can still possibly earn miles while overseas. Be sure to book soon though, as the offer ends July 06, 2023.
