The Red and Gold Brigade has made a stuttering start to their CFL campaign as they were haplessly held by the Rainbow AC in their last match. With both Mohun Bagan Super Giant and Mohammedan Sporting registering huge wins in their respective matches, the onus will be on East Bengal players to get back to winning ways.
East Bengal have included many ISL-experienced players in their squad but it was not enough against Rainbow AC to get all three points. The Kolkata giants will have to ensure a better outing and most importantly a victory to stay afloat in the race even in this early stage of the CFL 2023 season.
Police FC, on the other hand, is a team operated by West Bengal police. The interesting fact is that Police FC use East Bengal’s tent ground as their own home ground. The club was established way back in 1952 and won the Trades Cup in 2008.
