Jags (played by Amar Adatia) was killed when Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) ordered his prison protection to be stopped. Ben did confide in his husband Callum Highway (Tony Clay) when Jags died, but he convinced Ben to keep quiet. Things usually have a way of coming out for EastEnders characters though, and it has been months since the incident. With a relationship blossoming between Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Kheerat, (Jaz Deol) could Stacey start looking into Jags’ prison death and find out the awful truth?
Ben ordered the prison protection to be stopped after Kheerat seemed like he was getting into a relationship with Ben’s enemy Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean).
The two went on a couple of dates, and Ben was furious at the perceived betrayal.
However, nothing came of it, but by the time Ben realised this, the damage had been done.
Jags was killed in prison, leaving the Panesars heartbroken.

Spotting Sharon with Kheerat back in June, Ben, who was on the phone to one of his prison connections, immediately wanted revenge.
“You know what?” he told the mystery caller, adding: “Change of plan.
I’m being mugged off here. Cancel that protection, I don’t care. Jags Panesar ain’t my problem no more.”
The next day, the Panesar family found out Jags had been killed.
On a house call, Dr Nina looks over a sick Kheerat who isn’t quite sure if she is flirting with him.
Meanwhile, Stacey also visits Kheerat to apologise for making him ill.
Ben informs Stacey someone paid the difference for the repairs to her van and when she realises it was Kheerat, she visits again to thank him and they share a moment.
Unfortunately for them, they are interrupted by Vinny Panesar (Shiv Jalota).
Later, Kheerat goes to see Stacey and ends up kissing her on the cheek, leaving Stacey smitten.
Stacey was in prison at the same time as Jags, along with her wife Eve.
The pair seem to know about the goings-on with local inmates, and they would likely have heard about Jags at the time.
Could Stacey, seeing how devastated the Panesars have been left by Jags’ death, begin to look into what really happened?
Together, and with their prison contacts, Eve and Stacey could possibly find out Ben was behind the whole thing.
If this happens, things won’t be looking good for the Walford gangster, who now works with Kheerat.
