EastEnders ‘comeback’ for villain as Walford serial killer resurfaces

0

EastEnders fans will remember Gray Atkins (played by Toby-Alexander Smith) and how he wreaked havoc on Walford with his murderous ways.

The serial killer was finally jailed for his crimes in 2022, but it seems Walford hasn’t heard the last from him.

Spoilers obtained by The Mirror reveal Chelsea Fox (Zaraah Abrahams) will be distracted in upcoming episodes after receiving a letter from none other than her killer ex, Gray.

It comes as her flatmate Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty) prepares to throw a moving-in party for her boyfriend, Zack Hudson (James Farrar).

After terrorising Walford for two years, Gray was locked away last year and fans hoped the key had been thrown away.

It seems he could be making a comeback though, with Chelsea’s letter likely to come as a shock to viewers.

During his stint on the Square, Gray managed to kill his wife, Chantelle Atkins (Jessica Plummer), Tina Carter (Luisa Bradshaw-White), and Kush Kazemi (Davood Ghadami).

What could he now want from behind bars? It’s possible he is contacting Chelsea with the hopes of being able to see his children.

He and Chantelle had two children and Chelsea has since given birth to their son, Jordan.

It could be that Gray will ask Chelsea if the youngsters can visit him – or could there be another twist set to emerge?

Whatever Gray wants, fans will be stunned to hear his name mentioned again and to potentially see him back on screens.

However, after recent episodes have seen the return of Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt), Peter Beale (Thomas Law), and Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa), it seems all sorts of familiar faces are resurfacing.

Chelsea was left traumatised by Gray, who attempted to kill her as well – how might she react to the unexpected contact?

After noticing she’d been recording him, Gray tried to strangle Chelsea but she managed to break free and flee from him before the police turned up to arrest him.

She will probably be terrified to hear from him again – will she keep the information a secret?

EastEnders continues on Tuesday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
