Jack Ryder, who left EastEnders back in 2002, has caused a stir with a new video, looking and sounding different before sending fans into a frenzy.

The 41-year-old is now an acting coach to the stars and gives tips on perfecting the craft on his Facebook and Instagram feed.

Sounding completely different now, and gazing intently into the camera, he has told his followers: “If you forget a line, which every actor does, don’t snap out of it too quickly.

“There is often something in that silence that a director or even an audience will lean into and draw from. Have the power moving forward in securing yourself in that.

One fan wrote on one post: “You’re getting better with age.”[sic]

Another said: “I see you’ve gotten sexier as you’ve gotten older. I read you’re from Canterbury in Kent as well. So cool.

“And it has to be said, you are looking great. Handsome and buff!”

Jack made his Albert Square debut in November 1998 at the age of 17 as Jamie Mitchell.

He has transformed his image since his last Walford scenes, which saw his character tragically killed in a car accident almost 21 years ago.

Since moving on from acting he is now an established film and theatre director and father – and published his first children’s book in 2020.

After his departure from the soap, Jack married Kym Marsh in August 2002, and they divorced in 2008.

He welcomed a daughter with his long-term partner, Ella, in 2021 and he splits his time between London and France.

Jack appeared on Loose Women in 2020 to promote his books, and the panel were taken aback by his good looks.

His fellow former EastEnders star Nadia Sawalha, who played Annie Palmer, said: “I used to think when you first came on set ‘what a gorgeous young boy!’

“And now look, that was so long ago.”
