EastEnders theory: Horror as Lily overdoses on Stacey’s medication following Jean tragedy

0

Lily (played by Lillia Turner) has started to question whether she might start suffering from mental illness due to her genes. Stacey (Lacey Turner) has tried to reassure her daughter that she won’t necessarily be diagnosed with bipolar just because her mum and grandmother have it. However, in an upcoming tragic EastEnders plot, Jean Slater (Gillian Wright) faces a tragic ordeal and when her granddaughter finds out, she might be left more concerned than ever. Could the youngster accidentally harm herself by taking Stacey’s bipolar medication in the BBC soap?

Lily recently asked Stacey if she would also get bipolar. She stated: “You were right about nan.

“I went to see her at Ruby’s, she had all this stuff all over the walls, all this rubbish.

“She doesn’t even know something is wrong with her, does she?”

Stacey replied: “She will be alright, she just needs her dosage looking at.”

“Am I going to get it as well, bipolar?” Lily asked. “Your mum has got it, you’ve got it, am I next?”

“No,” Stacey replied, saddened by her daughter’s worries. “It don’t work like that.”

She added: “Listen, nan is going to be fine and so are you. Trust me.”

In upcoming episodes, Lily’s concerns grow even further when Jean’s relapse comes to a head.

Stacey asks Martin Fowler (James Bye) for support as she plans to tell Lily about what happened to Jean in Southend, but Martin is apprehensive.

Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) expresses his regret about what happened with Jean to Kat Slater (Jessie Wallace).

Martin disagrees and as the couple begin to argue, but sadly Lily overhears.

Later, Shirley Carter (Linda Henry) spots Lily trying to steal a drink in The Vic and, feeling sorry for her, gives her a chance to ask about her nan – providing she keeps it a secret.

Lily jumps at the opportunity and questions what happened to Jean.

But could the news send Lily into a total panic? If so, she may become certain that will suffer from the illness, too.

Terrified of what it could do to her but without the knowledge of how it works, the youngster might make a terrible mistake.

Keeping the fact that she knows what happened to Jean a secret, Lily might sneak into Stacey’s room and find her bipolar medication.

Perhaps thinking that by taking them now she could avoid a diagnosis, Lily might decide to steal a few and start taking them.

However, this could have serious consequences for the schoolgirl.

The strong medication can cause problems when not prescribed by a doctor, and the pills could have a terrifying effect on Lily.

Lily might become physically ill and could also start acting strange, but if she covers this up to hide her secret, it may go unnoticed.

Things could get progressively worse until the youngster needs to hospitalised.

She might end up collapsing or suffering some kind of mental breakdown due to the medication.

If this happens, she will likely be rushed to hospital, where they will hopefully find out what Lily has been doing.

Stacey might be left feeling guilty for hiding the truth from her daughter and causing her to go after the scary information herself. Will Lily be able to get the support she needs to overcome her fear?

EastEnders continues on Tuesday at 7.30pm on BBC One.
