The UK is experiencing some fabulous weather and what better way to enjoy the sun than with an ice lolly?

Of course there are plenty of options available in the supermarket, but making them at home is more fun – especially if you can add some alcohol.

BBC Good Food shared how to make gin and tonic ice lollies this summer. It has a difficulty rating of “easy” and takes just five minutes to prepare before freezing.

BBC Good Food stated: “For a twist on gin and tonic, try these alcoholic ice lollies as a boozy grown-up treat for hot summer days.”

These don’t have to be enjoyed straight away and can be kept in the freezer for up to two months.

The healthy dessert recipe contains just 77 calories per portion and zero grams of fat, so it won’t eat into your calories for the day if you’re watching them.

It’s also super cheap with just five ingredients involved, so you won’t have to break the bank – or trek through the supermarket all day.

With just one step involved and five minutes prep, lollipop makers will be outside enjoying the sun in no time.

Method

Grab a six-hole lolly mould and push a cucumber slice and a mint leaf into each one. Pop the gin, tonic and sugar in a jug and stir until the sugar dissolves and the tonic loses its fizz. Divide between the six moulds, push in the lolly sticks and freeze overnight or for at least four hours.
