THIS is the hilarious moment an easyJet flight to Edinburgh last night was treated to a sing-song by a member of cabin crew.
Passengers from Fuerteventura, on the Canary Islands, couldn’t quite believe it when Chief Steward Jason burst into a rendition of Sandy Shaw’s ‘Puppet on a String’ which won the UK Eurovision in 1967.
Jason was donned in a huge Union Jack flag, while those onboard were given smaller ones to wave about as they chanted “Get Jason to Eurovision”.
The lad is said to be furious that he missed out on getting tickets for the popular song contest which is being held in Liverpool on Saturday May 13, so he decided to hold his own event on the aircraft.
Carol Mitchell, from Grangemouth, was onboard and said: “It was honestly the funniest flight I’ve ever been on.
“He was great.
“Everyone was cheering him on and singing along.
“The captain was even shouting ‘Get Jason to a Eurovision’ from the flight deck.
“It’s always depressing flying home after a holiday in the sunshine, so this certainly cheered us all up.”
Glasgow was named as one of seven cities in the United Kingdom shortlisted to host Eurovision in 2023 on behalf of last years winner Ukraine, but lost out to the Scouse city leaving Scots gutted.
Mae Muller will represent the UK this Summer with her track ‘I Wrote a Song’ in an attempt to follow the success of Sam Ryder in 2022.
