Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn’s Complete Relationship Timeline

Falling in love away from the public eye! Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn have kept their long-term relationship under wraps since getting together in 2015. Even though the now-married pair doesn’t share their love on social media, the “Lego House” crooner has spoken out about his longtime partner in the past.

“I’ve known Cherry since I was 11. She worked on Wall Street in New York, and I had like six shows [around New York in 2015]. It was around then, and we reconnected,” he told People in March 2017 about their first date. “I went on tour again, and then I went to Taylor [Swift]’s 4th of July party. I was texting [Cherry], and she was like, ‘I’m in Rhode Island at a 4th of July party,’ and I was like, ‘So am I.’ I kinda said to Taylor, ‘Can I invite one of my old schoolmates?’ The rest is history.”

After the couple welcomed a daughter, Lyra Antarctica in September 2020, the “Bad Habits” musician started giving fans more of an insight into his home life.

While chatting with Rebecca Judd on Apple Music 1 in August 2021, Ed recalled going to dinner with Beyoncé and Jay-Z the night after his first date with Cherry.

“I learned it [‘Empire State Of Mind’] for a Live Lounge. And then Jay-Z and Beyoncé came to a gig that I did in Brooklyn,” he recalled. “And they were like, ‘Come out to this restaurant with us afterwards.’ So, I went out to this restaurant and then my mates were in town. Actually my now wife. It was like the day after we’d had our first date. And she was there with my friend Martha and this guy, Foy Vance.”

From there, the couple’s relationship only got stronger. Now, there’s one thing Ed and Cheery have to do every week without exception.

“Me and my wife have a date night. It’s a strict date night every single week,” he said on the same show. “And no matter who’s in town or who wants to see us, it’s always this one night in the week and we go out and our rule is we can’t talk about our baby. We have to talk about each other and catch up because if you spend … As a parent, you spend so much time discussing being a parent that you kind of forget who you were before. So we have one night a week where we are who we were before.”
