Ed Sheeran has taken to Instagram to celebrate after his club secured its return to the EFL Championship after four years.
Suffolk side Ipswich Town thrashed Exeter City 6-0 at Portman Road on Saturday to win promotion back to the second tier of the English Football League.
Five of the goals were scored in the first 32 minutes.
Bad Habits singer Ed is arguably one of the club’s most famous fans.
He has also been the club’s shirt sponsor since the 2021/22 season.

Writing on his Instagram account – @teddysphotos, 32-year-old Ed posted a snap of himself wearing a blue Ipswich Town shirt. It shows him holding the badge and smiling as he looks down at it.
The caption read: “E I E I O, up the football league we go ! @ipswichtown,”
The megastar, who grew up in nearby Framlingham, confirmed in June last year that he would be continuing his sponsorship of the football club’s shirts for the 2022/23 season. They currently feature his Mathematics tour logo.
He said at the time: “I am delighted to be sponsoring Ipswich Town for another season.
“The club and the local community mean a lot to me and I always try to get back to Portman Road whenever I’m back in Suffolk. See you next season.”
