Ed Sheeran has looked to the skies for inspiration when naming his “beautiful baby girl”, cementing his place among the ranks of other celebs who have a penchant for unusual names.
The little one has been given the heavenly monniker of Jupiter.
Ed Sheeran can now be added to the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow and Kim Kardashian.
Source revealed to The Sun UK that the Grammy award winner has named his newborn daughter, Jupiter.
“Ed and Cherry loved the name both in terms of what it stands for and its uniqueness. Everyone thinks Jupiter works perfectly for her,” they said.
“Behind closed doors Cherry has been gushing over becoming a mum again. She and Ed really are a match made in heaven.
“Their family is beautiful.”
In May, the singer and his wife Cherry Seaborn announced the arrival of their second daughter.
Sheeran took to Instagram to reveal the happy news after appearing to have kept the pregnancy a secret from the public.
“Want to let you all know we’ve had another beautiful baby girl. We are both so in love with her, and over the moon to be a family of 4 x”(sic),” he wrote.
Back in August 2020, the couple welcomed Lyra into the world and the pair announced the news to fans in exactly the same way – as a surprise and alongside another image of white baby socks.
The singer previously admitted that becoming a dad had allowed him to find a “purpose” outside of music.
“I just found that I really didn’t have a purpose outside of (music) because when I was giving myself fixed time of no work, I wasn’t doing anything I enjoyed because I love doing music. And (being a dad) has actually given me purpose and something in life that’s actually more important than my job.”
Sheeran married his childhood friend in 2019.
