Eden Hazard has decided he will not be quitting Real Madrid in January, meaning any club that is willing to sign him will have to wait until next summer to secure a deal. The Belgian has flattered to deceive in the Spanish capital since completing his £89million move in the summer of 2019, scoring just four La Liga goals in his first two seasons at the club.
Now Madrid are reportedly keen to get him off the books in order to free up some funds to spend on their underwhelming squad.
Hazard is understood to be the club’s second-highest earner behind Gareth Bale, netting a whopping £381,000 per week.
It means his yearly wages total a mega £19,812,000 – making him one of the best-paid stars in La Liga.
Newspaper speculation in Spain suggests Hazard will be pushed towards the exit door before his contract expires in 2024.

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has already made it clear he will not stand in any player’s way if they want to leave the club.
“Never in my coaching career have I forced a player to stay when they want to leave,” he said.
“In my personal opinion, there is no question about that. If a player wants to leave, he will leave. There is not much doubt about this.”
If Hazard is to leave the Bernabeu, then a return to the Premier League is likely to be high on the agenda.
