The trailer of John Abraham, Disha Patani, Arjun Kapoor and Tara Sutaria-starrer Ek Villain Returns was released recently amidst much fanfare. The audience loved the action-packed and mysterious avatar of all the four leads but what caught everyone’s attention specially was the familiar music of the song Galliyan that played in the background. While everyone was eagerly waiting for the release of the revived version, it finally happened today.
The makers of Ek Villain Returns released Galliyan Returns as the first song from the film’s soundtrack and it sees Ankit Tiwari returning to croon the recreation of the iconic original track from the 2014 film Ek Villain. Ankit has retained the emotions of the original track and while the 2014 version showed the love story of Sidharth Malhotra and Shraddha Kapoor‘s characters, the recreation takes the audience on a much bigger journey.
From the first attraction, to the courtship period, leading to falling out and what happens after that, John, Arjun, Disha and Tara have quite aptly shown that whole journey in a span of just under 3 minutes. The chemistry between the lead pair in the beginning and the tension in the latter part has to be the USP of the song that is composed and sung by Ankit with lyrics by Manoj Muntashir.

The music video also adds another layer of mystery to the film as while the trailer gave a glimpse of the equations between the lead pairs and also between John-Arjun and Disha-Tara, here the audience gets to see another equation between Arjun and Disha as in one scene as she hugs John, Arjun’s character is seen passing a smile and Disha’s character reciprocating to that.
Ek Villain Returns, produced by Ektaa R Kapoor and Bhushan Kumar and directed by Mohit Suri, is turning out to be one of the most exciting mystery action thriller of the year and with each property that the makers are releasing, the excitement around it is just building more and more. The film releases on July 29, 2022.
