El Pollo Loco will be marking Día de Los Muertos by creating an immersive experience for diners at one of its restaurants in Los Angeles.
The Costa Mesa-based chain describes the event on Facebook as recreating Mictlan, a place where spirits rest until they can return home to visit their families.
It will take place 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, Nov. 1-2 at 5319 Sunset Blvd., Los Angeles.The restaurant is decorated with a mural by local artist Sam Flores in honor of Día de Los Muertos.
The event will include an ofrenda, papel picado, colorful lights and live mariachi music according to a news release.
