Twitter CEO Elon Musk has weighed in on Bronny James’ cardiac arrest.
James, the son of NBA superstar LeBron James and an incoming freshman on the USC men’s basketball team, was rushed to the hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest during a workout on Monday.
After news of his medical emergency began circulating on social media, Musk commented on James’ situation, insinuating that it might have had something to do with his COVID-19 vaccination status.
“We cannot ascribe everything to the vaccine, but, by the same token, we cannot ascribe nothing. Myocarditis is a known side-effect. The only question is whether it is rare or common,” Musk wrote.

A spokesperson for the James family said Bronny is in stable condition and out of ICU.
“Yesterday while practicing Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest,” the spokesperson said in a statement Tuesday. “Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU. We ask for respect and privacy for the James family and we will update media when there is more information.
“LeBron and Savannah wish to publicly send their deepest thanks and appreciation to the USC medical and athletic staff for their incredible work and dedication to the safety of their athletes.”
